Our Accreditations
What Is Accreditation?
The accreditation process is a rigorous on-site evaluation to qualify the effectiveness and management of treatment centers. The goal of the evaluation is to identify and repair any weaknesses in the program to offer only the highest levels of care. By gauging the treatment offered, accreditation agencies offer objective and trustworthy metrics to measure the quality of a recovery center.
Who Grants Accreditation?
There are a number of accreditation authorities, each with unique parameters for certification; this includes:
- The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
- The Joint Commission (JCAHO)
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
- Council on Accreditation (COA)
Why Is Accreditation Important?
Did you know that only 70% of state mental health facilities meet state licensure requirements? Only 34% of those meet the standards of the Joint Commission. Additionally, only 24% meet CARF accreditation standards, and less than 10% meet COA requirements.[1]
You cannot assume that simply because a treatment center exists, they’re qualified to meet basic standards, let alone exceptional standards. By receiving accreditation, a treatment center proves they’re a trusted source where you can take advantage of quality care in a safe environment.
What Are The Benefits of Accreditation?
Peace Of Mind
Peace of mind is the primary benefit for patients attending an accredited facility. You can rest assured that the facility is well-managed, the staff is well-qualified, and the treatment meets or exceeds widely recognized standards of care.
Highest Levels of Care
The cost of medically assisted detox depends on the detox center, your care plan, and other factors. Some insurance providers cover some or all detox expenses. Contact us today to find out if your insurance provider is in network.
Insurance Reimbursement
Accreditation and certifications are a significant influence when insurance providers consider what treatment centers they will work with. By proving our accreditation levels, we elevate our appeal to insurance carriers.
State and Federal Resources
Accreditation also provides local, regional, and national authorities with evidence of our center’s commitment to quality programming and care services. This enables us to raise additional funds in order to serve more people in our community.
