Karina is a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor and has been practicing since 2022 after receiving her Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College. Karina has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children navigating anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental health challenges, and has provided care in both individual and group therapy settings.
Karina is passionate about supporting clients on their healing journeys through art therapy and creative expression. She believes that the creative process can offer a powerful, nonverbal pathway to explore emotions, process experiences, and build self-awareness. Karina integrates a variety of art-based interventions to help clients access and express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words, while also supporting emotional regulation and nervous system stabilization. She values creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can engage in the creative process at their own pace, fostering curiosity, insight, and personal growth.
Outside of her professional work, Karina enjoys spending time outdoors and reading, finding both to be restorative and grounding parts of her own self-care.
